I am passionate about sharing my knowledge to help therapists learn and develop, empowering them to better serve families and children throughout the world.
Throughout my years of experience, the moment I knew I had a passion for teaching was through a moment of failure.
I was in a course to improve my teaching skills and although I did not learn the intended course material, I learned the value of effective teaching.
From that moment, I knew I wanted to be a teacher who builds people up based on their strengths and supports their professional growth, so they can evolve their clinical skills and personal development.
Through years of running a private practice, I realized therapists not only need to develop through knowledge-based education, but also through developing clinical wisdom. The missing piece was teaching therapists how to develop their wisdom.
It was not until I completed a yoga teacher & therapist and Inner MBA certifications as well as started my own mindful practice, that I began to understand the importance of clinical wisdom and what wisdom-based education really entailed. This was the key to help provide clinical wisdom to practicing therapists.
I am passionate about and dedicated to supporting organizations and people through education, mentoring and consulting to provide both knowledge-based and wisdom-based education.
Through my own journey, I’ve gained guidance and insight for impacting children and families by empowering those who work with them to become their best selves, not only through knowledge-based education but through wisdom-based education.
Wisdom-based education is the missing link in a clinician’s toolbox.
I believe when we combine knowledge & wisdom-based education, we become better clinicians.
